💼 About This Role

You'll contribute to the development of a robust process for generating the company's proprietary pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. Your focus will be on synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization of chemically modified polysaccharides and polysaccharide-protein conjugates. This contract role offers hands-on experience in conjugation development within a clinical-stage biotech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform and optimize multi-step syntheses of protein-polysaccharide conjugates
• Purify polysaccharides and conjugates using dialysis, SEC, and TFF
• Analyze conjugates with colorimetric assays, HPLC, SEC-MALS, SDS-PAGE
• Maintain experimental records and contribute to troubleshooting

📋 Requirements

• BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years industry experience (or MS with 1+ year)
• Experience with protein purification methods such as dialysis, diafiltration, and SEC
• Working knowledge of analytical methods including colorimetric assays, HPLC, SEC, and SDS-PAGE

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with TFF (tangential flow filtration)
• Hands-on experience with protein conjugation reactions or chemical polysaccharide modification
