Description

As a Government Affairs Manager at SpaceX, you will support the company's business and growth objectives through direct federal lobbying and strategic coalition building on issues like telecommunications, broadband, and AI. You'll shape legislative strategies, build relationships with officials, and prepare key materials for leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of professional experience working on legislative matters in private sector or government
• Willingness to travel 25%
• Must be willing to attend political and industry events on behalf of SpaceX
• Flexibility for long hours and weekend work when necessary

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line advocate for SpaceX on key policy areas (broadband, AI, etc.)
• Shape legislative strategies, tactics, and policy development for federal government
• Develop and maintain relationships with federal officials, lawmakers, and regulators
• Oversee and manage consultants and third-parties engaged in government affairs
• Draft legislative language, attend hearings, and develop policy positions
