Description

You will develop decision-making systems for autonomous spacecraft, creating algorithms that evaluate mission context and execute optimal actions in real-time. Your work bridges perception, prediction, and control, enabling resilient autonomous behavior in communications-limited environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in CS, ML, Robotics, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years industry experience in autonomy, decision-making, or control for aerospace/robotics
  • Strong proficiency in C++, Python, DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Experience with ML applied to decision-making or control problems
  • Track record with optimal control, planning, or reinforcement learning in real-time systems

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement on-board decision-making models for real-time strategy adaptation
  • Develop autonomous decision algorithms integrating perception, state estimation, and intent prediction
  • Research and deploy ML models for decision-making from literature review to training
  • Build infrastructure, testing frameworks, and deployment pipelines for space missions
  • Support real-time autonomy in communications-limited or time-critical scenarios
