Description

As Commercial Counsel at Nextdoor, you will work closely with the global revenue team on advertising deals and provide legal support for commercial transactions. Your role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on legal risks, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure agreements align with internal policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience, at least 1 year in-house at a tech or digital media company
• J.D. from nationally recognized law school, admitted to any state bar
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with data privacy laws, IP, and advertising business issues
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel in commercial transactions for revenue team and global Marketing partners
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts including insertion orders, strategic partnerships, and terms for promotions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure agreements consistent with internal policies and processes
• Research and advise on legal issues related to doing business in foreign jurisdictions
• Drive development of internal resources and implement best practices using AI tools
