Description

You will build scalable systems and data pipelines to power consumer credit reporting at Affirm. Collaborating with Product, Compliance, and other teams, you'll design robust reporting systems that deliver accurate data to Consumer Reporting Agencies, enabling Affirm's growth to 10x.

Requirements

• 4+ years building large-scale data pipelines and distributed backend systems
• Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, or similar languages
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes
• Track record of delivering high-volume, highly available systems
• Strong communication and ability to influence across global engineering org

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver strategic outcomes aligned with company objectives
• Shape architecture and technical strategy for large-scale data and backend systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and design
• Champion operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and recovery practices
• Mentor and grow engineering talent through leadership and code reviews
