Description

You will provide inpatient psychiatric care within a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Hospital, working in a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for older adults. This role offers potential teaching involvement with UCSF and the opportunity to impact the lives of seniors in a mission-driven nonprofit.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Current and valid California medical license
• DEA registration
• Experience providing inpatient psychiatric care and demonstrated interest in geriatric psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric inpatients
• Manage psychopharmacological treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including nursing, social services, rehabilitation, and medical staff
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and case conferences
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and participate in discharge planning
