You will lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives at Karat, driving architectural improvements and setting technical vision. You'll bring technical credibility to client relationships, mentor engineers, and champion best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years professional experience leading architecture and delivery of large-scale web applications
• Deep expertise in Ruby, Python, React, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Expert-level experience with microservices, database optimization, and API design (REST and GraphQL)
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven technical leadership across teams and initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex, cross-team technical initiatives
• Own significant areas of technical stack and propose improvements
• Design significant architectural changes to the platform
• Represent Karat's technical voice with clients
• Mentor and elevate engineers across levels
