💼 About This Role

You'll lead financial operations for a climate tech startup working to remove carbon from the atmosphere. You'll build the finance function from scratch, managing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role offers the chance to scale a high-performing team and directly impact the mission of fighting climate change.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting
• Manage month-end close process including journal entries and reconciliations
• Oversee daily accounting operations: AP, payroll, bank reconciliations

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar senior financial role
• Knowledge of construction accounting and SPVs
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or NetSuite

• Startup experience as first accounting/finance hire
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling
