Description

As a Principal Engineer in our Dealer Competitive Intelligence group, you will set the multi-year technical strategy to transform complex competitive data into scalable, insightful market intelligence products for dealers. You'll partner with Product, Data Science, and Analytics leaders to design robust, cloud-native systems that deliver intuitive user experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years software development with 3+ leading technical strategy, using Java and Spring Boot
• 5+ years designing and deploying distributed systems with service-oriented architecture in 24/7 production
• Proficiency in AWS and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Dealer Competitive Intelligence platform
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions
• Establish engineering practices ensuring code quality, testability, observability, and operational excellence
• Guide technical direction in Java backend services and React web applications
• Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews
