💼 About This Role

You'll lead a prototype fabrication team building development hardware for defense technology products. Your core impact will be improving shop throughput and reducing build delays. This role stands out for its direct contribution to rapid hardware development in a mission-driven defense company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage a team of fabricators and machinists including onboarding and performance.
• Define Jira ticket prioritization criteria and delegate tasks.
• Review drawings and identify build risks before delegating work.
• Create and maintain the overall shop schedule and balance workload.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in prototype fabrication or similar hands-on hardware environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing shop-floor teams of fabricators or machinists.
• 3+ years of experience creating or managing shop schedules and production priorities.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, weld symbols, tolerances, and material callouts.

✨ Nice to Have

• CAD design software experience.
• Jira and/or Confluence experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, or similar hardware-intensive environments.
