💼 About This Role

You'll own the end-to-end workflow of our powder synthesis lab at an AI-driven materials discovery company. Your core impact is building systems that absorb intended chemical variation while separating unintended noise, stabilizing throughput for diverse chemistries. This hands-on role directly shapes how we design our automated full-scale lab.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own powder synthesis workflow end-to-end
• Map failure modes and design controls
• Apply statistical process control to track inputs and outputs
• Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose data integrity issues

📋 Requirements

• Degree in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering
• Experience as a process engineer in high-mix R&D or manufacturing
• Working knowledge of SPC, six sigma, and DOE
• Hands-on familiarity with characterization techniques (XRD, SEM)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with battery materials or ceramic-heavy processes
• Background scaling an R&D process toward automation
• Exposure to quality engineering or reliability engineering
