Description

You will advise clients on ACCC compliance and approvals for mergers, acquisitions, and commercial transactions, while handling investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation related to competition and consumer law. You'll work closely with partners and senior lawyers, taking ownership of files and managing matters with autonomy.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable private practice environment
• Exposure to competition law and genuine interest in specialising
• Strong academic credentials and commitment to continuous professional development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under pressure
• Collaborative working style with confidence to operate independently when required

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on obtaining ACCC clearance for mergers, acquisitions, and commercial transactions
• Act for clients in ACCC investigations and enforcement actions involving cartel conduct, misuse of market power, and anti-competitive behavior
• Handle competition and consumer-related litigation and disputes, including pursuing negotiated outcomes
• Counsel clients on transaction structures, marketing strategies, product recalls, and compliance frameworks
• Work closely with partners and senior lawyers, taking ownership of files and managing matters with autonomy
