Description

As a Cloud Engineer at K2 Space, you will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for satellite design, manufacturing, and mission operations. You'll implement IaC, CI/CD, and security controls while collaborating with teams to accelerate our path from concept to orbit.

Requirements

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automation tooling.
• Experience with identity and access management, network security, and compliance controls.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with software, mission-ops, and DevOps teams.
• Background in space, aerospace, or mission-critical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments.
• Implement IaC automation (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with software, mission-ops, and DevOps teams to integrate cloud architecture into the development lifecycle.
• Establish and manage IAM, role-based access, encryption, network security, secrets management, and compliance controls.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and reliability.
