Description

You will design, build, and operate backend services and Kubernetes operators in Go that integrate Karpenter with Cast AI, bringing enterprise capabilities to the open source Kubernetes autoscaler. Your work will directly impact application reliability, performance, and cost optimization for large-scale deployments.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with experience in distributed systems and backend development (preferably Go)
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes
• CI/CD and DevOps practices experience
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a startup environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services and Kubernetes operators in Go
• Contribute to high-volume data-plane services (gRPC/REST) and asynchronous workflows
• Shape public and internal APIs with an eye for simplicity and developer experience
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and on-call rotations
• Engage in occasional customer deep-dives
