Description
You will join our engineering team to support mission-critical customer operations in Reston, VA, providing technical support for planning, designing, testing, integrating, configuring, and delivering software services across development, test, and production environments. You'll work with AWS cloud services to modernize systems like Elastic, RHEL, and WSUS, while supporting and enhancing core applications used by multiple government agencies. Your responsibilities will include automating provisioning of resources, developing test data, monitoring system performance, and serving as team expert for environments like Elastic, WSUS, and Red Hat Satellite Servers.
Requirements
- Clearance: TS/SCI Eligible, willing to obtain polygraph
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field
- Certifications: Currently hold, or be able to attain certification in DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications within 30 days of contract start
- Location: Full time on-site in Reston, VA
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant technical experience
- At least 2 years of experience AWS production delivery
- Comparable Azure Cloud experience can be considered
- At least 2 years of experience Linux development and production delivery
- At least 2 years of experience with Agile programs for Government programs
- Systems Integration Engineering experience with modern application development, including backend development, modern UI frameworks, relational databases, and web services
- Experience configuring and managing development, test, and production hosting environments
- Expertise scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, .net, or C#
- Experience in automating tasks with tools like Ansible
- Experience with backup, restore, and testing configuration and usage of relational database and systems
- Experience writing enterprise level technical standard documentation and diagrams
- Demonstrated ability to work with ticketing systems such Jira, GitLab/GitHub Issues, while working across technical and customer teams of all experience levels
Responsibilities
- Support customer meetings and quarterly Agile Development Planning
- Provide technical support for planning, designing, testing, integrating, configuring, and delivering software services
- Work with AWS cloud services including modernization of Elastic, RHEL, WSUS, and cross-domain integration and automation
- Support and enhance 10 core applications and data services used by multiple Government Agencies
- Develop and deliver new capabilities, support existing infrastructure and applications, and add new data sources to secure mission systems
- Install, configure, and work with cloud and database engineers to automate provisioning of resources
- Validate documentation and create/update scripts to automate operations in cloud and Linux-based environment
- Develop test data and system testing, and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle
- Monitor and manage system resources including CPU, storage, and other cloud resources to maintain operating efficiency and performance
- Serve as team expert for design, setup, configuration, maintenance, and administration of one or more of the following environments: Elastic, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite Servers
