Description

You will cover Cincinnati and its northern suburbs for Axios Local, writing daily and twice-weekly newsletters that help residents understand the news, events, and local customs that matter most. You'll own the biggest conversations in the community, break news, and experiment with AI for reporting and production.

Requirements

• Experience covering Cincinnati and/or its northern suburbs
• Excellent sources and ability to create new ones
• Ability to break news and create conceptual scoops
• Omnivorous curiosity about your hometown
• Proven experience in fast-paced news environment on deadline

Responsibilities

• Co-author daily and twice-weekly Axios newsletters with insights and scoops
• Cover many aspects of life in Cincinnati and its northern suburbs
• Experiment with and leverage AI for reporting and newsletter production
• Write conversationally in Axios' Smart Brevity style
• Help build Axios Local and shape product evolution
