💼 About This Role

You'll design and build an internal platform that lets engineers deploy production-grade systems in a self-service manner, turning operational toil into product-grade automation. You'll own the AI-agent surface for our platform, creating MCPs and structured tool catalogs that let agents drive infrastructure workflows safely. This role sits at the intersection of Infrastructure, Developer Productivity, and Security, driving a multi-year strategic effort to shift operational tasks into a product-driven platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement self-service platform for engineers to build and deploy production-grade systems
• Establish standards and build deterministic automation for user accessibility and reliability
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevProd, and Security teams to deliver capabilities
• Build AI-agent surface: MCPs, Claude skills, structured tool catalogs
• Iterate on platform UX with product instincts: measure adoption, ship improvements

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with modern programming languages (Golang, Ruby, TypeScript)
• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, ideally using Crossplane for IaC
• Hands-on experience with AI-agent coding tools (Claude Code or similar) and designing tooling for agentic consumption
• Effective communicator who can simplify complex topics and drive paved-road decisions

• Experience with Backstage-based Developer Portals
• Experience building structured CLIs or documented tool contracts
• Experience with approval-based workflows and safe rollout automation
