Description

You will drive supplier development for mechanical hardware used in Starshield satellite and ground station systems, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve quality, cost, and delivery. This role involves managing supplier performance, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements to support production goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM
• 1+ years experience in manufacturing/process engineering or internship
• Ability to travel up to 25-60% work week
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain U.S. government top secret clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers on piece part and assembly design
• Define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production
• Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis
• Implement and monitor production part approval process (PPAP) with suppliers
