💼 About This Role

You'll spearhead backend and edge/IoT engineering for high-stakes Defence projects, implementing scalable patterns and practices. You'll bridge the gap between proof-of-concept and robust systems, raising the engineering bar across your team. You'll work alongside Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to deliver production-grade solutions that provide immediate value to customers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a dedicated squad of engineers
• Design and build complex backend and edge/IoT components
• Implement CI/CD processes with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ship production-ready code in Python and compiled languages

📋 Requirements

• Extensive experience in application development and modern system architecture
• Proficiency in Python and at least one compiled language (Rust, C++, Go)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Leadership mindset with ability to empower engineers and foster technical excellence

📨 Hiring Process

The interview process includes a 30-min talent screen, 45-min role intro, 90-min system design interview, 90-min pair programming interview, and 60-min commercial & leadership interview.
