💼 About This Role

You'll be the first Design Engineer at Windmill, moving fluidly between Figma and production code to build AI-powered performance review tools that reduce review time by 6 hours per person. You'll own critical journeys end to end, from research to shipped components, and shape Slack surfaces and AI chat experiences that people rely on daily.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own critical journeys end to end from research to shipped code.
• Design and prototype AI chat experiences that feel fast and trustworthy.
• Shape Slack surfaces: messages, modals, triage flows, and notifications.
• Improve key funnels like onboarding, 1:1 prep, and feedback routing.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years designing and shipping software used by real customers.
• Experience building B2B SaaS products.
• Experience with AI chat systems and conversational UX.
• Mastery of Figma and strong front end engineering skills (React, TypeScript).

✨ Nice to Have

• Portfolio showing role, decisions, and outcomes.
• Experience with Remix, Tailwind, or Postgres.
