💼 About This Role

You'll shape the architecture, tooling, and domain model for a new data engineering function within Customer Success at Toast, building analytics infrastructure for 150,000 restaurant locations. You'll bridge raw data and business-ready insights, enabling data-informed customer engagement at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain dbt models transforming raw CS data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Design and own semantic and metrics layer for CS KPIs like health scores and retention.
• Partner with analysts to translate reporting requirements into reusable data models.
• Implement data testing and observability frameworks for reliable CS data assets.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with focus on data modeling.
• Expert-level SQL and hands-on dbt experience in cloud data warehouse.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Sigma, Hex, Tableau, or Looker.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time data streaming using Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
• Background in SaaS or Customer Success analytics.
• Experience with CS source systems like Salesforce, Five9, or Intercom.
