💼 About This Role

You'll build and own the data science discipline at Gorgias, shaping decision-making into a competitive advantage across the company. You'll partner with C-Suite stakeholders to deliver outcomes through forecasting, segmentation, and experimentation. This is a foundational hire where you define the strategy from the ground up.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define data science strategy and roadmap with VP of Decision Intelligence
• Own and improve revenue forecasting, churn prediction, and scenario planning
• Develop audience segmentation and customer profiling for GTM
• Build experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on data science experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Deep experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and experimentation design
• Experience partnering with engineering to productionalize models

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS, B2B, or e-commerce environments
• Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, or modern analytics engineering workflows
• Prior experience building a data science function or being first data scientist at a company
