Description

As Director of Manufacturing at Planet, you will lead NPI build processes, manufacturing engineering, and factory operations. Reporting to the VP, you'll manage a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products are built to cost, quality, and schedule standards. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Berlin.

Requirements

• 8+ years hands-on experience in production team building and scale-up
• 6+ years supervisory/leadership experience
• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Experience with manufacturing engineering, NPI, and DFM/DFX
• Experience in owned factory operations and process development

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing manufacturing team
• Own global factory and R&D facility location strategy
• Drive continuous improvement projects and manage scope, schedule, and budget
• Design, build, and manage production lines for satellite technology
• Ensure product and process quality through test design and standards
