You'll own the design and optimization of library preparation workflows for nanopore sequencing at a single-molecule proteome sequencing company. Your work will directly shape the future of protein sequencing, enabling transformative discoveries in life science.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Design and optimize end-to-end library preparation workflows for nanopore sequencing
  • Develop characterization assays to monitor efficiency and construct integrity
  • Investigate and resolve yield-limiting artifacts from protein sequencing assay chemistry
  • Translate manual workflows to automated liquid handling platforms

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Molecular Biology or related field with 6-8+ years relevant industry experience
  • Deep understanding of enzymatic DNA manipulation including ligation, end repair, and polymerase extension
  • Hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting NGS library preparation workflows
  • Proficiency with capillary electrophoresis or gel-based QC methods

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with Oxford Nanopore library preparation kits
  • Experience with automated liquid handling platforms (Hamilton, KingFisher)
  • Background in protein sequencing or proteomics sample preparation
