Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (Django/FastAPI), gRPC, and GraphQL to support clients and providers in a behavioral health practice. You'll take ownership of significant features, influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and contribute to mission-driven healthcare work.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience building robust backend applications
• Deep expertise in Python and major web framework (Django/FastAPI)
• Proficiency with gRPC, Protobuf, and modern API protocols
• Experience with relational database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Proven track record deploying enterprise Python applications in production

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable backend systems and APIs using Python
• Lead debugging, profiling, and monitoring of backend services
• Own features or subsystems end-to-end from design to deployment
• Drive adoption of best practices for testing, code quality, and observability
• Mentor and support engineers through pairing, design reviews, and technical guidance
