💼 About This Role

You'll design and build Playbook's BigQuery data warehouse from scratch, using Dataform or dbt to establish ELT pipelines, testing, and CI/CD practices. As the first dedicated data hire, you'll partner with the Growth team to codify business metrics and make data self-serve, while owning the end-to-end data stack.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design warehouse schema and modeling conventions in Dataform or dbt.
• Manage and extend ingestion layer across multiple data sources.
• Establish CI/CD, testing, and data quality practices.
• Partner with Growth team to define and codify business metrics.
• Own and evolve creator-facing analytics product data layer.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Expert-level SQL and deep experience with BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with Dataform or dbt building modular ELT pipelines.
• Strong grasp of dimensional modeling and CI/CD for data.

✨ Nice to Have

• Prior experience in Data Engineering or BI Engineering.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and subscription business models.
• Experience in creator economy, marketplace, or subscription platform.
