Description

You will own the full design cycle of primary and secondary structures for Terran R, from conceptualization through manufacturing and test, collaborating across teams to reduce mass and complexity while bringing flight hardware to life.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a design engineering role
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Significant experience with NX, Creo, or Solidworks
• Working knowledge of structural analysis (hand calculations, FEM) and test
• Fundamental knowledge of structures strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Innovative conceptualization of structural load path and design for complex structures
• Review static/dynamic load inputs, material properties, and structural system requirements
• Analyze and size flight structures to ensure timely design reviews and drawing release
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns including integration, operation, and result evaluation
• Support manufacturing process development
