You'll design and implement the hardware infrastructure powering Fastly's edge cloud platform. Your work will directly impact the performance, availability, and scalability of a global CDN serving major internet brands. This role offers the chance to shape next-generation hardware from concept to production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Collaborate with software teams and vendors to evolve hardware infrastructure.
• Develop specifications, RFPs, and requirements documentation.
• Guide hardware selection and test engineering samples.
• Troubleshoot and triage hardware issues across lifecycle.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years experience in hardware system architecture.
• Collaboration with diverse roles, senior leadership, and vendors.
• Detailed documentation obsession on hardware and tooling.
• Strong foundation in management platforms: console servers, IPMI, SSH, PXE.

• Storage and memory subsystems experience.
• Firmware development (bash, Python, tooling).
• CDN hardware/software architecture knowledge.
