💼 About This Role

You'll own end-to-end notification and real-time safety UX at Citizen, a mission-driven app. You'll design and ship experiences that deliver the right alert at the right moment, collaborating cross-functionally in NYC. This role blends product design, front-end engineering, and AI-assisted workflows for high-stakes, real-time products.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and ship core notification experiences that drive retention and engagement.
• Own end-to-end real-time safety UX across notifications, feeds, and in-app surfaces.
• Prototype with code to explore interactions and align cross-functional teams.
• Use AI tools for concept exploration, design variations, and front-end scaffolding.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years blending product design and front-end engineering.
• Strong portfolio of shipped consumer products with real-time, feed, or notifications.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate design/engineering workflows.
• Fluency in Figma and front-end technologies like React/React Native or SwiftUI.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with notification or feed ranking systems.
• Prior work on safety, trust & safety, or moderation products.
• Experience with live video, real-time maps, or location-based products.
