Description

You will operate AST satellite payload subsystems to support constellation service and in-orbit testing. This is a day-staff shift position at the Satellite Operations Centers, with occasional weekend, holiday, and on-call support for 24x7 payload operations. Your work involves monitoring payload subsystems, coordinating configuration changes, and supporting tool development for efficient automated tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in satellite payload operations or related field
• Ability to work shifts and provide on-call support
• Proficiency with telemetry analysis and automation tools
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Operate payload tools for in-orbit testing and commercial service configuration
• Monitor service/test automation and analyze telemetry and logs
• Coordinate payload system configuration changes to maintain service levels
• Monitor payload subsystem telemetry for power, thermal, and RF health
• Maintain situational awareness of satellite, payload, and ground configuration
