Description

You will set the technical direction and lead the delivery of key aspects of Ubuntu Linux, working with global teams and partners to ensure high-quality kernel performance and security. Drive engagements with silicon and cloud partners, manage vulnerability mitigation, and enhance kernel reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience in OS kernel development or low-level system engineering
• Expert understanding of C programming language
• Demonstrated expertise in *nix-based operating system kernel and distribution
• Python and Bash scripting ability
• Ability to travel internationally at least twice a year

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and lead delivery of a key aspect of Ubuntu Linux kernel
• Drive engagements for key Silicon and Cloud partners
• Lead mitigation of vulnerabilities and drive active hardening in kernel
• Architect enhancements to performance and correctness
• Develop means to deliver Ubuntu Linux at scale to strict quality standards
