Description

You will take ownership of service cases, delivering high-quality onsite support and repairs for analytical laboratory instruments at customer sites across Japan and APAC. You'll perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Technology or equivalent
• Multi-year experience with service and repair of analytical laboratory instruments
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of critical customer experience factors and after-sales service
• Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and able to collaborate within a cross-functional team
• Excellent time management skills with focus on scheduling and prioritization
• Fluent Japanese and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel at least 65% within APAC region

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair instruments to the FRU level
• Analyze complex situations and apply independent judgment when resolving problems
• Interpret past repairs to diagnose new complex issues
• Assemble and disassemble instruments and equipment
• Support pre-staging of instruments for full functionality prior to transfer
• Perform electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, liquid, gas, fluidics, and electrical repairs
• Provide field-based on-the-job training for FSEs on maintenance and service techniques
• Support upgrade release activities including calibration and configuration
• Monitor personal inventory levels and order supplies as needed
