💼 About This Role

You'll join BlueCat's Legal team, supporting technology transactions and internal initiatives for a fast-growing global tech company. You'll provide business-focused legal advice on SaaS, software licensing, and partnerships while collaborating with product teams. This hybrid role offers flexibility between remote and our Toronto headquarters.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide legal advice on technology transactions including SaaS and software licensing.
• Support internal compliance initiatives on privacy, open source, and marketing.
• Support M&A activity including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
• Advise product teams on intellectual property, open source, and data protection.

📋 Requirements

• Active member in good standing with Law Society of Ontario.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department in SaaS/software.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements like software licenses and SaaS agreements.
• Knowledge of data privacy requirements and experience with data protection agreements.
