Description

You'll join a cross-functional team building tools, APIs, and integrations for Remote's HR platform. Collaborate with engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE, and QA to deliver scalable solutions that enable global employment. Your work will directly impact how companies recruit, pay, and manage international teams.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals and track record of shipping production systems
• Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows
• Ability to think in systems: define specs, break down plans, instrument verification
• Professional experience with Elixir, Phoenix, and Postgres
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)

Responsibilities

• Lead development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives
• Actively contribute to product work: provide feedback and suggest solutions
• Mentor and guide other engineers
• Participate in code reviews, support rotations, hiring process, and RFC discussions
• Propose and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end (spec → plan → execute → verify)
