Description

You will translate in-game text, dubbing scripts, and marketing materials from English to Traditional Chinese, ensuring cultural sensitivity and quality. You'll collaborate with LQA teams, contribute to glossaries and style guides, and help shape localization strategy for 2K's games.

Requirements

• Traditional Chinese language proficiency.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Minimum two years localization experience in games or related industry.
• Firm understanding of the games industry, game genres, and popular IP.
• Solid understanding of English grammar, colloquialisms, slang, and age segments.
• Advanced understanding of Taiwanese culture and other related entertainment media.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines.
• Attention to detail, independent, time management.

Responsibilities

• Translate in-game text, dubbing scripts, and marketing related documentation from English to Traditional Chinese.
• Assess Traditional Chinese materials to assure localization quality and cultural sensitivity, and relay information to respective members/departments.
• Assist in creation and curation of game glossary and style guides.
• Collaborate with LQA teams to solve linguistic issues impacting Traditional Chinese versions.
• Consult on issues related to Traditional Chinese history, culture, pop-culture.
• Work with Chinese language leads and strategists to build consensus and localization strategy.
• Attend localization production meetings with producers, operational teams, and game development teams.
• Provide material and personnel support to senior leadership as necessary.
