Description

As a Design Criteria Engineer on the Starshield team, you will ensure satellite mission success by developing design criteria, performing critical design reviews, and guiding engineering teams through the design process. You'll work across electrical, structural, and RF systems, proactively identifying risks and driving improvements to satellite design and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 1+ years of engineering experience (professional, project, internship, or extracurricular).
• Experience with aircraft, launch vehicles, or spacecraft preferred.
• Scripting and data analysis experience (VBA, SQL, Matlab, Python, or Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own design criteria, requirements, and verification approaches for satellite systems.
• Perform critical peer review of hardware designs and test campaigns.
• Guide engineers through the design process and ensure design criteria are followed.
• Provide development input on electrical, structural, and RF engineering problems.
• Identify development risks and implement mitigation plans.
