💼 About This Role

You'll install, splice, and test fiber optic cabling infrastructure in mission-critical environments for a global IT provider. You'll combine hands-on technical work with leadership and quality assurance to ensure network reliability. This role requires 90% travel near a major airport.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
• Use OTDR, OLTS, and power meters to certify and troubleshoot fiber links.
• Diagnose and repair faults in fiber optic networks, including emergency repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of splicing, testing, and repair activities.

📋 Requirements

• 3-5 years hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing, testing, and installation.
• Proficiency with high-precision fusion splicers (e.g., Fujikura, Sumitomo).
• Advanced use of OTDRs, light source/power meters, and visual inspection scopes.
• Experience working in live network environments with strict uptime SLAs.

✨ Nice to Have

• FOA CFOT or BICSI certifications.
• Experience in hyperscale or enterprise data center environments.
• Project leadership or supervisory experience within a technical team.
