Description

You'll join the MongoDB Query Optimization team to design and build the core of a distributed, flexible schema document database. You will research state-of-the-art query systems, architect plans, and lead execution on rewriting optimization and execution components, directly impacting transactional, time-series, and analytical workloads.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in data management systems
• Experience building production-level code with large user base
• Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with large C++ codebases or other systems programming language
• Passion for database query engine theory and practice

Responsibilities

• Innovate in flexible schema database query optimization
• Research state-of-the-art query systems to inform design
• Set initiative-level strategy and lead team execution
• Design, implement, test, and support new features for query performance and robustness
• Mentor and grow team members through coaching and leading by example
