💼 About This Role

You'll own and scale the infrastructure, security, and IT operations that power Clutch's platform, a vertical SaaS serving over 160 credit unions. Your core impact will be defining the platform direction and building the team with high autonomy. This leadership role offers the chance to drive vendor rationalization and cost optimizations across the entire engineering org.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Complete a full audit of infrastructure, security, and vendor accounts within 3 months
• Drive vendor rationalization, identifying $229K in immediate cuts and $1.2M under evaluation
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs and performance across AWS (ECS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL)
• Define team structure, hire, and fully staff the Platform Engineering org within 9 months

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or security leadership in B2B SaaS or fintech
• Proven leadership managing infrastructure, security, and IT teams in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge of AWS (ECS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, KMS, S3, VPC) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt)
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards: SOC 2 Type II, GLBA, CCPA

• Experience with Cloudflare, Datadog, Auth0, or similar tooling
• Familiarity with credit union or financial services regulatory environment
• Background in Zero Trust architecture and IAM strategy
