Description

You will join GLG's Database Reliability Engineering team to build and optimize data infrastructure, focusing on interactions between applications and data stores for scalability, performance, and resilience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, secure, and implement data storage solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years managing production Microsoft SQL Server
• Expertise in T-SQL and performance tuning
• Proficiency in scripting language (PowerShell preferred)
• Experience with SQL Server Availability Groups
• Understanding of data security and database design

Responsibilities

• Tune SQL queries for performance
• Monitor servers and alleviate bottlenecks
• Automate repetitive tasks via scripting
• Design and refactor data structures
• Review schema change proposals
• Administer database roles, users, backups, and restores
• Ensure optimal indexing and capacity planning
