Description

You will lead and scale QuillBot's data infrastructure, driving architectural decisions and building high-performing systems to support product, AI, and growth initiatives. You'll treat the platform as an internal product, ensuring usability and value for cross-functional stakeholders while leading a team of engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software/data engineering with 2+ years in engineering management
• Strong experience building and scaling data platforms or distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies like Node.js and JavaScript ecosystems
• Experience with Spark, streaming, pipelines, and modern data stack tools
• Proven ability to make architectural trade-offs and lead large technical initiatives

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the data platform for large-scale real-time and batch processing
• Design systems for analytics, experimentation, event tracking, and usage metering
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data and platform engineers
• Collaborate with Product, AI, Growth, and Marketing teams to translate data needs into scalable solutions
• Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance at scale
