💼 About This Role

You'll own difficult, first-principles R&D that unlocks rare-earth metal production at scale. You will design and execute high-temperature experiments, build custom rigs, and translate lab breakthroughs into reproducible unit operations. This role is deeply technical and experimental.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Run bench/pilot experiments to quantify kinetics and equilibria
  • Build and operate furnace systems in vacuum/inert atmospheres
  • Apply thermochemical modeling to guide conditions and materials
  • Author SOPs, test plans, and data packages with statistical confidence

📋 Requirements

  • 3+ years as a research engineer or PhD-level researcher
  • Depth in pyrometallurgy, electrochemistry, nuclear engineering, or metal processing
  • Proven ability to build experimental setups and produce decision-grade data
  • Hands-on with furnaces, vacuum systems, and high-temperature instrumentation

  • Experience with rare-earth chemistry or molten salts
  • Corrosion and materials compatibility at high temperature
  • Basic CAD skills (Fusion/SolidWorks) for fixtures
