Description

You will lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative RFID hardware solutions from concept to mass production, combining technical expertise in hardware development with strong program management skills. This hybrid role in San Diego involves up to 20% travel to contract manufacturer sites in Mexico, and you will drive programs through the entire product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years hardware program management experience (RFID, IoT, consumer electronics preferred)
  • 2+ years experience as a hardware engineer
  • Proven track record transitioning products from engineering to mass production
  • Working knowledge of RFID, wireless technology, DFM, and DFT methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware development programs through full product lifecycle (concept to end of life)
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for NPI and sustaining programs
  • Drive hardware development through POC, Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT phases at contract manufacturer
  • Facilitate communication between EE, ME, RF, SW/FW, Tech Ops, Supply Chain, and Deployment
  • Identify and mitigate technical and program risks through proactive planning and collaboration
