💼 About This Role

You'll design, build, and operate backend authentication services for a leading cybersecurity company. You'll lead migration of core authentication functionality from monolith to distributed services. This role offers meaningful ownership over critical platform infrastructure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and operate authentication services used across 1Password
• Lead implementation of projects moving critical functionality from legacy systems to modern platform services
• Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements and support adoption
• Participate in on-call rotations and improve system reliability

📋 Requirements

• Backend engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale
• Experience building API-first services with Go or similar languages
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
• Experience designing and maintaining production APIs with HTTP fundamentals and RESTful design

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized systems
• Familiarity with Kafka, Debezium, or event-driven architectures
• Experience building authentication or identity-focused systems
