You'll lead Whatnot's product legal function, partnering with product, engineering, and policy teams to advise on new features and regulatory risk. You'll shape legal strategy in a high-growth marketplace and build scalable processes that turn legal into a force multiplier.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead product counsel team and shape legal strategy
• Advise on product features, user flows, and legal compliance
• Monitor global regulations (GDPR, DSA, AI Act) and drive cross-functional responses
• Develop playbooks, templates, and risk frameworks for scalable legal support

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years of legal experience
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• Experience in product counseling at a high-growth tech company

• Experience with livestreaming or marketplace platforms
• Familiarity with AI/ML regulation (EU AI Act)
• Prior team management experience
