Description

As an Engineering Lead at MongoDB, you will provide technical direction and implement core parts of a new platform that helps customers build AI applications. You'll lead and grow an engineering team, working on challenging high-visibility projects to improve distributed systems infrastructure. You'll collaborate with product and program managers to define and deliver features, and take responsibility for planning and execution.

Requirements

• 8+ years building distributed systems or cloud services at scale
• 2+ years managing a team of 3+ engineers
• Experience with Python, Golang, Java, or Rust
• Track record in hiring, mentoring, and growing engineering teams
• Strong background in building core components for high-scale compute or data processing

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
• Drive architectural vision for the platform across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise
• Work with product managers and other teams to prioritize and deliver features
• Plan and execute major features, raise delivery risks
• Own monitoring, operations, and maintenance of systems developed by the team
