💼 About This Role

You'll join Waymo's Driver Understanding and Evaluation team to build the virtual driver's test for autonomous vehicles. You'll design scalable simulation data pipelines and improve simulation signal quality. This role offers the chance to apply ML models to simulate the most interesting driving situations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build infrastructure for a virtual driver's test for the Waymo Driver.
• Design and operate scalable simulation data pipelines.
• Improve signal quality of the virtual driver's test.
• Apply ML models to enhance simulation efficiency.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience or quantitative PhD with 2+ years experience.
• C++ proficiency.
• Python familiarity.
• SQL familiarity.

✨ Nice to Have

• 7+ years industry experience or 3+ years post-doc in a quantitative engineering role.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science.
• Experience with FAANG-scale distributed systems.
