Description

You will be the first in-house legal hire, responsible for building and managing the company's legal framework. You will provide strategic legal advice to the executive team on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters, especially in Web3 and AI, while ensuring the company scales effectively and mitigates risks.

Requirements

• J.D. from accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership
• 3+ years legal experience at top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel
• Experience with early-stage or high-growth companies in web3/AI
• Expertise in corporate governance, contract law, and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Build legal function from scratch including policies, processes, and templates
• Oversee corporate governance and compliance with regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, partnership, and employment contracts
• Develop compliance programs for GDPR, AML, OFAC, data privacy, and IP laws
• Support fundraising, equity administration, and regulatory risk mitigation
