Description

You will provide strategic legal support across corporate governance, healthcare regulatory compliance, employment, and operations, serving as a key advisor to senior leadership at a mission-driven medical technology company.

Requirements

• JD from accredited U.S. law school; active member in good standing of at least one state bar (California preferred)
• 15+ years of progressively responsible legal and compliance experience, including law firm and in-house at life science/healthcare/med device company
• Knowledge of SEC, FDA, and OIG regulatory landscape and general commercial law relevant to medtech
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate with cross-functional teams, provide business-oriented legal advice
• Clinical development and transactional experience preferred; start-up company experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate attorney handling SEC compliance; oversee drafting and filing of SEC disclosures
• Support corporate governance best practices, board/committee support, ensure compliance with Regulation FD and Nasdaq rules
• Counsel on FDA, OIG, CMS, data privacy (HIPAA) and other laws impacting life science companies
• Advise on employment law matters, draft and advise on employment agreements and policies
• Help implement cost- and time-saving processes, controls, and legal department automation
