Description

You will build and evolve the core calendar data infrastructure that powers Calendly's products, designing scalable services for API, synchronization, and search. Your technical decisions will directly impact how millions of users access and manage their scheduling data.

Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed systems focus
• Deep experience in service-oriented architecture and building scalable, resilient systems
• Proven experience building and operating high-traffic, high-availability platforms
• Strong proficiency building internal tools, frameworks, and SDKs used by other engineers
• Authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain calendar platform services using Golang, Ruby/Rails, and PostgreSQL
• Contribute to architectural decisions for service-oriented and microservice patterns
• Own significant projects from concept to production, including API, sync, and search services
• Partner with product engineering and infrastructure teams to translate needs into robust solutions
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, testing, and on-call rotation
